Produce more and Import less

Diaz-Canel also stated that it was also necessary to enhance the production of chicken, cassava and to encourage the activity of productive poles, since these centers apply science and innovation in search of large volumes of food.

The Head of State said that despite economic constraints, investments aimed at the development of Agriculture remain, but pointed out the importance of continuing to diversify and increase exports in a way that generates more revenue.

The Cuban President urged those present to generalize good agricultural practices in order to reverse productive results, and to ensure they meet the needs of the population.
