BAYAMO, Granma.- The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, presided over in the Revolution Square of Bayamo the lifting ceremony of the Cuban flag and that Carlos Manuel de Cespedes led to begin the Cuban libertarians struggles in La Demajagua sugar mill.

Together with Federico Hernandez, first Secretary of the Party in Granma, Diaz-Canel placed a floral offering at the base of the statue of the Father of the Nation, and also a white flower before the bust of Perucho Figueredo, author of the National Anthem.

The President of the Councils of State and Ministers presented the flag to the Granma delegation to the ninth Congress of the Federation of University Students, and greeted each member of the Bayamo Concert Band, founded 150 years ago.
