MOSCOW, Russia.- Russian President Vladimir Putin denounced this Wednesday that the USA has approved budgets to create medium-and short-range missiles, and it seeks a pretext to justify its exit from the treaty on these armaments.

Putin said that as is the case in recent times, in western practice Russia is accused of almost everything, including the violation of the nuclear weapons treaty, but in fact they oppose the annulment of that agreement.

The Russian President added that apparently, the United States considered that many countries developed similar technologies and, like Russia, it was limited to developing such armaments, so the northern country felt it needed to abandon the treaty.

Putin explained that in the 2000s, Washington decided to leave the missile defense treaty, but now it needs a pretext and decided to accuse Russia of its violation.
