Cuba consolidates ties with Caribbean communities
HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuba consolidates historical ties with the nations of the Caribbean Community, CARICOM, in the context of the 47th anniversary of the relations between the island and the regional bloc.

In the Bahamas, Cuban Ambassador Alejandro Garcia held a meeting with local government representatives, health and education collaborators, as well as residents in the Commonwealth, to commemorate the 45 years of bilateral friendship.

In Santa Lucia, the head of the Cuban diplomatic mission, Alejandro Simancas, and the Ambassador for CARICOM, Elma Gene Isaac, ratified the basis of friendship, cooperation and solidarity that characterizes Cuba’s ties with that country and the peoples of the region.

The parties noted the significant and qualitative growth of relations, and the alignment of interests and aspirations of the Caribbean peoples.
