Havana, Cuba.- Cuba, Jamaica have strengthened parliamentary relations during a visit to Havana by authorities of these Caribbean countries, reported the National Assembly of People´s Power(ANPP)Wednesday.

The president of the Assembly, Esteban Lazo, spoke with the leader of the Jamaican House of Representatives, Pearnel Charles, invited to participate in the 4th International Conference for the World Balance, a forum to be held until Thursday at the Convention Palace in Havana.

Both leaders, at the meeting, highlighted the ties between the two nations and their specifics, in the case of Cuba, the constitutional reform process, to be completed with the February 24 referendum for the ratification of the new Magna Carta

For her part, Cuban National Assembly Vice President , Ana Maria Mari Mari; and the president of the International Relations Commission, Yolanda Ferrer, welcomed Alix Boyd-Knights, leader of the Dominican parliament, at the Havana Capitol -the ANNP administrative headquartERS.

Tomorrow the meeting of Lazo with Boyd-Knights meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at the Capitol.
