On the day of the victory in Playa Giron 57 years ago, it will be announced today the conformation of the Council of State elected by the deputies in the constitutive session of the National Assembly of Popular Power, attended by Cuban President Army General Raul Castro, First Secretary of the Party.
On March 21, the process of consultation of the newly elected delegates to the provincial Assemblies of People’s Power was completed throughout Cuba, with respect to the nominations to be presented next Sunday 25 for presidents and vice-Presidents, at the constituent session of those governing bodies.
Next January 21, the municipal assemblies, in extraordinary session, will nominate the candidates for delegates to the provincial assemblies and deputies to the National Assembly of People’s Power.
All Cuban municipalities have already prepared their candidacy with the candidates for delegates to the Provincial Assemblies and members of Parliament, which will be presented in special session of each municipal government body next Sunday.
