The Workers’ Central Union of Cuba (CTC in Spanish) called this Thursday for the celebration of May 1st, a working-class holiday that will have a different nuance for the conditions the nation lives through from the confrontation of the new coronavirus.
The Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, headed the celebration for International Workers’ Day in Antonio Maceo Revolution Square of Santiago de Cuba.
President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez said this Tuesday that International Workers’ Day Cuba is to vibrate this May 1 during the nationwide parade for International Workers Day.

The Workers’ Central Union of Cuba (CTC) and the national unions call all the people to a massive day of national mobilization to celebrate the International Workers ‘ Day, with the motto Unity, Commitment and Victory.
A total of 109 people were arrested following the violent incidents that tarnished the demonstration in Paris for International Workers’ Day, the city police prefecture reported.
