Havana, Cuba.-A Cuban baseball team will make its debut before Canadian Trois Rivieres in the Canadian-American Independent League (Can-Am), a tournament in which the Cuban players will participate for the 2nd consecutive time.

The Cuban players will play 21 matches in the Can-Am Independent League in 22 days, in a championship in which 8 teams, six of them from Canada, Cuba and a team from South Korea, will see action.

The Cuban players debut before the Trois Rivieres will be from June 8 to 11. Later, Cuba will match Capitals of Quebec (June 12-15), current champions of the tournament, the Ottawa Champions (June 16-18), Sussex County (June 19-21), New Jersey (June 22-25) and Rockland Boulders (June 27-29).

Against the Rivieres, Quebec and New Jersey, Cuba will play a series of 4 matches but it will only play three against the Ottawa Champions.

During the first season in the League, the Cubans had favorable balance of 11 victories and 9 defeats. The Cuban team was formed by several players who are currently attending the 4th World Baseball Classic.
