Havana, Cuba.-The photograph exhibition entitled ”Unknown Russia” is call to protect the environment from the Museum of the Revolution (former Presidential Palace), in this capital, with a diverse content of flora, fauna and landscapes.

The exhibition tells a lot about the most remote and little-known places in Russia, even to many citizens from that country, the extension of which exceeds 17 million square kilometers, said Vladimir Iaroshevskii, representative for the Russian Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).

During the opening ceremony, Iaroshevskii, who is also secretary of the Russian embassy to Cuba, praised the attractiveness of inhospitable landscapes in Kamchatka, leopards from the river Amur, polar bears in hibernation and gray bears that feed from huge salmons instead of honey.

He said that despite the time difference of eight hours and almost 60 degrees Celsius of temperature between both countries, both sides love and appreciate their respective cultures and beauties.

Iaroshevskii thanked the support by the Museum of the Revolution to accept this exhibition.
