HAVANA, Cuba. – The ancient Chinese wisdom , which invites us to reflect through objects and comparisons, has left us the proverb praying that “one image is worth a thousand words”. And that is true when the word is wasted in banalities and squandered in clumsiness, for who speaks much err enough … But the ancient Chinese knew neither the radio nor cinema nor television, where the lack of talent of filmmakers makes us waste time in images and texts loaded with futility and nonsense.

The Cuban Radio system, which this Tuesday will be 95 years, has escaped commercial frivolity, shabby facilism, politics demagoguery, hypnotism consumerism and all those evils capitalism generates to shadow intelligence and control rebellion.

More Radio, more Cubans

Because it is more economical, immediate and expanded than other media, the mobilizing capacity of radio is incomparable.

The national radio system is distributed throughout the Cuban archipelago in large and small stations, both those broadcasting from Havana and those disseminated by provincial and municipal capitals, carrying the transformative message of the Revolution and linking small communities.

No Cuban is alone even in the most remote areas of our geography, because he is accompanies by the radio frequencies at all times. A supportive voice tends for him, hugs him in friendship, makes him know how the project of all advances, the music of all, the joy of all.

The Cuban Radio moves towards its centenary with the confidence of having you in this five-year period in which we will strengthen more our unity of sovereign people.
