HAVANA, Cuba.-The Vice-President of the National Electoral Commission (CEN), Tomas Amaran, highlighted the preparatory work in Cuba, so that in the elections of March 11 the people vote consciously, with discipline and organization.

On that date Cuban electors will elect the delegates to the fifteen provincial assemblies of People’s Power, and the deputies from each territory to the National Assembly.

“We must inform well the population and remember that this time each voter will receive two ballots, so that the process is developed without inconvenience,” Amaran said.

He pointed out that in order to facilitate the suffrage, the electoral colleges will have at most a list of 700 voters, while the general average varies in 400, and indicated that the mobilizing work augurs a suitable response.

For an Excellent Development of the Upcoming Elections

The Vice-President of the National Electoral Commission (CEN), Tomas Amaran, said that working efficiently in all structures must contribute to the positive development of the elections.

Amaran attended this Friday in Matanzas a seminar for the heads of the thirteen municipal and districts commissions, and those of the computer equipment in these locations.

Matanzas was the first province in Cuba in exercising the People´s Power, a form of government whose center in the communities is the constituency, and 2 years later it was extended to the whole nation.

According to the Provincial Electoral Commission, about 600 thousand voters are summoned to vote in Matanzas in about 1500 electoral colleges.
