HAVANA, Cuba. – Mexico’s Foreign Affairs secretary, Luis Videgaray, will arrive in Cuba next Thursday, August 17 for a two-day visit to the island.
The Cuban Chancellery announced on its website that during its stay Videgaray will hold talks with Cuban authorities and perform other activities.
Last March in an interview the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs said that Cuba and Mexico are two endearing peoples for each other, with deep friendship and historical affection, something important if the challenges in the region are taken into account.
Luis Videgaray was in Havana this year to attend the completion of the tenth regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Association of Caribbean States (AEC), occasion in which he described as strategic the alliance with the Cuban people and government.
