HAVANA, Cuba.-The Ambassador of the European Union in Cuba, Herman Portocarero, said today that the inauguration of the permanent chambers of the Center for the Interpretation of Cultural Relations between the two regions is a great example of the presence of the Old Continent in Cuba.

Portocarero remarked his happiness happy to conclude the project with its entire splendor and thanked those who participated in the work to return its soul to the building.

Dr. Eusebio Leal, Historian of Havana, said only the love to great things is able to save them, a motto of the celebration Europe´s Day today.

He added that the Center for the Interpretation of Cultural Relations between Cuba and Europe will allow understanding the nuances of both regions, and that only with this cultural and historical unity it will be possible to fight for peace and benefit of the world.

Culture Unites Us

 Opened to the public today, on Europe´s Day, the Center for the Interpretation of Cultural Relations between Cuba and that continent, in the Palace of the Second Cape is a meeting place from culture and heritage.

With new technologies, the project shows the value of the contributions of each culture through ten interactive rooms including music and dance, Books, the Time Tunnel and Architecture and Urbanism.

Visitors to the Center will enjoy an experimental tour through audiovisual materials, tactile tables and virtual trips through history.

The initiative is part of the international cooperation project named Participatory and Sustainable Integral Management for the Local Development of the Historic Center and Havana Bay.
