HAVANA, Cuba.- At next UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, in 2020, Cuba will present the third national communication and the first biennial update report on the phenomenon, which will strengthen the national monitoring and verification mechanisms.

Doctor of Science Eduardo Planes, director of the project, explained in a press conference that the purpose is to report about the sources ofemission and absorption of all greenhouse gases not controlled by the Montreal Protocol.

Dr. Planes added that the documents will also reinforce Cuba’s technical and institutional capacity to implement its commitments to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

All of this will contribute to the Life Task with policies that facilitate an adequate adaptation to the global phenomenon and its mitigation
