HAVANA, Cuba. – A seminar of the China-Latin America Laboratory on climate change will attract attention in the fourteenth International Congress on Sugarcane and Derivatives, on its third day of sessions in Pabexpo.
Representatives of the Cuban Institute for Research on Sugarcane Derivatives,
the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and other institutions are part of the program.
Arodis Caballero, chairman of the organizing committee, reported that the meeting promotes academic exchange, staff training, and technology transfer.
The University of Tsinghua, one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in China, is the leader of the China-Latin America Laboratory on climate change and the coordinator is Dehua Liu, director of the Institute of Applied Chemistry.
