HANOI, Vietnam.- Vietnam reiterated its historic opposition to the blockade of the United States against Cuba at a time when President Donald Trump´s Administration intensifies measures against the island.

The Asian country has consistently supported United Nations´ resolutions on the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States to Cuba and reiterates that will, the spokesperson of the Chancellery, Le Thi Thu Hang, said.

To a question on Vietnam´s position on the hardening of the measures of Washington against Havana, the official reaffirmed the vision of the policy of the nation Indo-China on the matter.

We believe in mutually respectful dialogue and negotiations as a means of understanding among nations and we trust that Cuba and the United States will find solutions to their differences for the sake of peace and security in the region, Le said.
