Trump threatens to close border with Mexico.

WASHINGTON, USA.- US President Donald Trump threatened this Monday to close permanently the Mexican border, one day after the U.S. authorities temporarily suspended access to the San Isidro border crossing, in California.

The American President continually attacks the caravans of Central American migrants trying to enter the United States, many of them looking for asylum.

The Department of Homeland Security would not tolerate this type of illegality and it would not hesitate to close the ports of entry for public safety reasons, the Secretary of that federal entity, Kirstjen Nielsen said.

According to U.S. media, some migrants said they tried to cross illegally after they were denied access to the port of entry, where they could apply for asylum, a protection they have a right to ask in accordance with U.S. law.
