President Donald Trump insinuated this Tuesday through on Twitter that his Middle East tour is related to the decision of some countries in that area to break diplomatic relations with Qatar.

He recalled that Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Maldives and the United Arab Emirates announced the relations breakdown and the blockade of borders with Qatar after accusing the country of supporting terrorism and threatening security in the zone.

Trump indicated that the leaders of these five countries pointed to Qatar and declared they would take a hard-line attitude against the financing of extremism by that nation.

Several voices in the region believe this unprecedented step against Qatar is the result of the American President´s talks with the King of Saudi Arabia during his visit to Riyadh, where Trump signed a multi-million dollar agreement for the sale of weapons to the Arab country.
