CARACAS, Venezuela.- The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, recalled the signing of a cooperation agreement in 2005 between the governments of the South American nation and Cuba to care for people with visual impairment in Latin America.

Thirteen years ago, our giants Chavez and Fidel subscribed the Sandino’s Commitment, an international cooperation agreement that was born in the context of the solidarity and integration of the peoples of the Great Homeland, Maduro wrote on Twitter.

With the establishment of this program, the then Presidents of Venezuela and Cuba ratified solidarity with the rest of the Latin American peoples.

The revolutionary leaders promoted a health care plan in the framework of the Milagro Mission, which would seek the intervention of millions of people throughout Latin America.
