SANTIAGO DE CHILE, Chile.- Under strong repression, demonstrations continue in Chile after a month of the beginning of the social outburst in demand of social improvements, and there are no strong government responses to appease popular unrest.

The South American country is experiencing countless events, with social protests, the declaration of the state of emergency, curfews, as well as human rights violations by police forces and the military.

To appease social unrest, President Sebastian Pinera presented a social agenda with halfhearted measures that fall far short of the expectations of the population, which calls for radical changes for the country.

So far, only a new Constitution is in sight that could bring profound changes to Chile, only if the social movement manages to unite and prevents its content from being mediated by the government and the right.
