British Prime Minister Theresa May.

MEPs warned about the hardness of the UK offer.

Brussels, Belgium. – The Group of the European Parliament designated for the negotiations of the British exit from the European Union, criticized this Monday the proposals made so far by Theresa May´s government on the subject.

In a letter addressed to the Union’s chief negotiator, Michel Barnier, MEPs warned about the hardness of the UK offer related to the rights citizens would have after Brexit, as London´s separation is known.

The parliamentary representatives argued in their letter that what was raised by May Administration constitutes a degradation to second-class status, as the privileges of European citizens in that territory will be reduced to a lower level.

Guy Verhofstadt, coordinator of the Parliament talks, stated that the differences between the intentions of the regional bloc and London were impressive.
