CARACAS, Venezuela.- The Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, sent a message of congratulation to University students of that country, on occasion of the day dedicated to them.

Through Twitter social network, the President reiterated the commitment of the Executive to support higher education through policies that favor the stable conditions and its quality.

In Revolution, we have inaugurated 45 houses of studies, a sample before the world that it is possible to build a free and quality educational system, Maduro wrote.

The date evokes the November 1957 strike starred by students from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, against the dictatorship of Marco Perez Jimenez. The aim of the protest was to demand a cessation of repression, freedom of political prisoners and the conduct of elections.
