CARACAS, Venezuela. – The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro convened this Tuesday to the Defense Council of the nation after the harsh statement issued by the United States against Caracas.

The head of State wrote in his Twitter account, Our country does not give orders, nor any foreign government rules it; In Venezuela the people is in charge sends the people.

Maduro took his decision after the statement issued on Tuesday by the U.S. American government threatening Venezuela with strong and fast economic actions, if this country did not suspend the call to a Constituent National Assembly, scheduled for next July 30.

In the morning, Venezuelan Chancellor Samuel Moncada announced Caracas´s official position regarding the White House document, which he described as “unusual” for his low level and lousy quality, which hinders the intellectual understanding of the intentions of the aggressor country.
