Havana, Cuba.- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel; and Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev, today head official talks between the governments of both countries.

The president of the Government of the Russian Federation arrived early this morning and was received by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez.

He then honored the Cuban National Hero, José Martí, at the emblematic Revolution Square of this capital.

Medvedev was then officially received by Díaz-Canel in a ceremony that included military honors at the State Council headquarters.

Both rulers are expected to participate in the signing of collaboration agreements between the two countries, which maintain close economic ties and share positions on key issues on the international agenda.
