Luanda, Angola.- Angolan President Joao Lourenzo is one of the guests at the 10th BRICS Summit, scheduled for July 27 in the South African city of Johannesburg.

The information was provided by Angolan Foreign Minster Manuel Augusto upon arriving home on Saturday night at the February 4 International Airport from Brazzaville, where he attended the 5th ministerial meeting of representatives and guarantors of the framework peace agreement in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the region of the Great Lakes.

Augusto said that South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has invited some heads of State from the region with continental responsibility. In Lourenzo’s case, he heads the Defense and Security Body of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC).

In addition to meeting his counterparts from Brazil, China, Russia, India and South Africa, the five emerging member countries of BRICS, Lourenzo will also hold bilateral meetings with other leaders.
