BRAZILIA, Brazil.- The president of the Workers’ Party, Gleisi Hoffmann, denounced that due to the threats of the President-elect, ultra-right-winger Jair Bolsonaro, Brazil loses today access to Cuban medicine, recognized by the World Health Organization.

I feel sad for the Brazilian people who are so well attended by them, the Cuban doctors, I saw that program born and helped to implement it, Hoffmann said in her Twitter account.

For Marilia Guimaraes, president of the Brazilian Chapter of the Network of Intellectuals, Artists and Social Movements in Defense of Humanity, it is hard such a scenario and with much pain she read and reread about the withdrawal of Cuban health professionals.

According to Pedro Oliveira, leader of the Communist Party of Brazil, Bolsonaro intends to place responsibility on the island and not on the ideological position of the future government against Cuba and against the Brazilians themselves.
