Bolivian President Evo Morales.

La Paz, Bolivia. – Evo Morales, President of Bolivia, ratified today his Government’s commitment to the development of education by inaugurating a teaching unit in the city of El Alto, near La Paz.

During the ceremony, Morales remarked the need to create new educational modules equipped with laboratories, workshops and computer rooms, in order to contribute to the improvement of teaching´s quality.

The new school, named Maria Ayma Mamani after Evo Morales’ mother, and demanded an investment of more than one million dollars. It will benefit 1500 students.

At another point in his speech, the head of State praised the cultural values of indigenous and peasant families, and emphasized their role in the process of change in Bolivia, initiated more than a decade ago, which includes the recovery of strategic companies.
