LA PAZ, Bolivia.-The President of Bolivia, Evo Morales, demanded a summit of the Union of South American Nations in the face of the American threats to intervene militarily in Venezuela from Colombia.

The possibility of an aggression was raised by American Secretary of State Rex Tillerson during his tour by Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Jamaica, in which he insisted on the overthrow of President Nicolas Maduro´s government.

Morales also criticized the statements by Florida’s Republican Senator Marco Rubio, in which he encouraged the Bolivarian Armed forces to stand up against Maduro.

In this context voices are raised in the international community in rejection of the threats by the United States, including those of the Communist Party of Chile and that of Chancellor Heraldo Munoz, who said his country rejects a military or other kind of intervention in Venezuela.
