feria de arteRome, Italy.-With a pavilion dedicated to Cuban fine arts, ArtePadova 2016 has entered Sunday its third and penultimate day in the northern Italian city of Padua.

Organized and curated by Bettini and Co. Gallery, and sponsored by the Cuban Embassy, the exhibition includes artworks by Wifredo Lam, Servando Cabrera and Victor Manuel, along with the styles and techniques of Alfredo Sosabravo’s paintings and ceramics, the coherence of Kcho’s works, Serones’ mark, and Rancaño’s singularity.

Paintings by other young Cuban artists complete the exhibition of modern and contemporary art from Cuba, present for first time in this fair, one of the most important cultural events in Italy.

Cuban Ambassador to Italy Alba Soto, representatives of the regional and municipal governments, collectors and the renowned gallery owner and curator Eriberto Bettini, whose initiative led to the presence of Cuban art as the only foreign guest country, attended the opening ceremony at the stand.

Bettini fist visited Cuba in 2011, when he could appreciate the work of Kcho (Alexis Leyva) at the Venice Biennale that year. Since then, Cuban culture has occupied a space in his heart and he organized exhibitions by Kcho in 2014 and Sosabravo in 2015.

After organizing and curating the Cuban exhibition at ArtePadova 2016, his next objective is to organize an exhibition by Fabelo in 2017.

Coming from a family dedicated to art in its widest dimension and combining the exquisiteness of jewelry with the legacy of fine arts, Bettini became an important promoter of Cuban culture.

The 27th annual edition of ArtePadova consists of 78 stands in an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters and since its opening two days ago, it has been visited by experts and general public.
