HAVANA, Cuba.- The Provincial Electoral Commission of Havana for the referendum of the Constitution, was constituted this Friday in solemn act, and its members ratified their commitment to enforce the electoral law before the President of the Provincial Assembly of the People´s Power of the capital, Reinaldo Garcia.

In taking office, the fifteen members swore to exercise their responsibilities with truthfulness, transparency, and to ensure the careful and rational use of the resources placed at their disposal.

Reinaldo Garcia said that the Provincial Electoral Commission assumes responsibility for carrying out the city’s referendum process, and for ensuring the impartiality of each of the electoral acts.

The President of the People´s Power in Havana added the referendum will take place in the year of the anniversary 500 of the Cuban capital, and it will be one of the main moments of the plan dedicated to the date.
