HAVANA, Cuba. – A few days after Cuba denounces in the United Nations the aggressive policy of Washington against the island, the Health and Sport Commission of the National Assembly of People´s Power held a public hearing in Havana to denounce the economic and financial siege impacting on the people.

This policy cannot be treated with lamentations, but with allegations, doctor in Communication Sciences Isabel Moya, director of the Women’s Publisher House, said at the meeting, which took place at the Institute of Oncology and Radiology.

For her part, Mayelin Jimenez, mother of a child with cancer and patient of the institute said that even with the blockade they have never lacked drugs or food.

Meanwhile, Ariadna Palmero, a medical student, also condemned the blockade, which prevents Cubans from accessing digital libraries with specialized information.
