WASHINGTON, United States .-Solidarity organizations with Cuba prepare the 2017 Day against Blockade, to be held next month in the American capital with an emphasis on the impact of this siege on the health sector.

“We are in full preparations, we invite Cuban health professionals, as well as graduates of the Latin American School of Medicine”, said Alicia Jrapko, coordinator in the US of the Peace, Justice and Dignity of Peoples International Committee.

Jrapko explained that the activities from September 11 to 16 will demand the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by Washington on the island.

“This year we are focused on the issue of health because it is a critical moment for the sector in the United States and we believe that Cuba can be an example,” the American activist said.
