CARACAS, Venezuela.- Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro stated that the Inter-American Treaty on Reciprocal Assistance, TIAR, was the legal instrument to justify interventions and aggressions to Latin America’s progressive movements, and to justify coup processes in the region.

Maduro referred to this mechanism, which was discussed in the Organization of American States, where its implementation on Venezuela was approved.

The Venezuelan President also criticized Donald Trump’s meeting; whom he called the mafia lord of the Latin American right, and emphasized the aggression suffered by the people of Venezuela.

Maduro referred to the dossier of fake photos about Venezuela presented by Colombian President Ivan Duque at the UN, and mentioned that the images of Juan Guaido with Colombian paramilitaries are the X-ray of the battle Caracas is fighting.
