Russia and Venezuela meet with the aim of consolidating economic agreements.

CARACAS, Venezuela. – The Russia-Venezuela High Level Commission will begin in Caracas, with the aim of consolidating economic, energy, technological and financial agreements between the two nations.

As announced by President Nicolas Maduro, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Yuri Borisov, will be the representative of the Eurasian nation to the high-level event.

This commission is held a week after Maduro’s official visit to Russia, where he held a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in which a new cooperation map was agreed.

In recent talks between the top political figures of both nations, the Russian government committed itself to the South American nation regaining its economy, amid the U.S. economic, financial and trade blockade.
