Quito, Ecuador.- Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Vice-President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, put this Wednesday in Quito a floral offering before the monument to Eloy Alfaro, leader of the liberal revolution in Ecuador.

The ceremony held El Ejido Park opened the activities of the Cuban leader in the South American country, where he attended the investiture of the Ecuadorian President-elect, Lenin Moreno.

They accompanied Diaz-Canel, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Ana Teresita Gonzalez, the Cuban Ambassador of Havana to Quito Rafael Daussa, and the head of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Ecuador, Maria Isabel Martinez.

Since his arrival, the Cuban dignitary carried out other activities, such as the placement of flowers before the monument to Jose Marti, and met his Ecuadorian counterpart, Jorge Glas, who ratified his position.
