HAVANA, Cuba.- In the presence of Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, President of the Republic of Cuba, artists, intellectuals and officials analyze the achievements and shortcomings in last year’s work, as well as the projections for this one, in the annual assembly of the Ministry of Culture.

The meeting is attended by Esteban Lazo, President of the National Assembly of People’s Power and of the Council of State and Roberto Morales Ojeda, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic.

They also participate the member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Cuba, Victor Gaute; Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, Secretary General of the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba; and Alpidio Alonso Grau, Minister of Culture.

The meeting takes place at the Theater of the National Museum of Fine Arts, in the Cuban Art Building, and has as motto the phrase by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro that, Without culture, freedom is not possible.
