SANCTI SPIRITUS, Cuba. – His Excellency Mr. Marcel Stutz, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation in Cuba, rejected this Friday in Sancti Spiritus the blockade held by the United States Government for more than half a century.

The blockade constitutes an illegal policy of that government, which does things that it should not do, Stutz reiterated in a brief meeting with the press after being received at the seat of the Provincial Assembly of the People´s Power.

Roberto Fajardo, Vice-President of the Council of Administration in Sancti Spiritus province, explained to the visitor the main economic and social characteristics of the territory.

The Swiss ambassador expressed his interest on the care to senior citizens, taking into account that is one of the most aged provinces in Cuba.
