PILON, Cuba. – Students, young people and other representatives of the society in Pilon, at Granma province, attended this Thursday to the homage to Celia Sanchez Manduley, on the occasion the anniversary 38 of her death in Havana.

Deymis Nobregas, a specialist at the Pilon Museum, said to Radio Reloj that the sample of the month, called Celia, always present, is dedicated to the heroine. It consists of photos of the legendary combatant, passports and other personal belongings.

The current Municipal Museum, a National Monument, was the former home of the most autochthonous flower of the Cuban revolution, from 1940 to 1956.

Celia and other combatants dedicated the last months of 1956 to create conditions to receive and protect the expeditionary of Granma Yacht.
