Havana, Cuba.- The lawmakers conforming the People”s Power National Assembly took the oath today to their responsibilities, to constitute the Ninth Legislature of that entity.

Leidymara Cardenas, the youngest member of this legislature, read the oath. She was elected by Jovellanos municipality (west of Matanzas province.

Lawmakers promised to reaffirm loyalty to the country, observe and enforce the Constitution of the Republic, laws and other legal rules and comply with the obligations that bestow such high responsibility on them.

Each legislator signed the document from their posts. The Ninth Legislature of the People’s Power National Assembly, comprised of 605 lawmakers, was constituted for a five-year term.
