HAVANA, Cuba.- Although some foreign media look pessimistically at Cuba after hurricanes, today the authorities of the tourism sector and travelers from all parts of the world coming to the island think differently.

A quick response to the damage caused by those phenomena is part of an important preparation for the so-called high season of Cuban tourism, when many people come to enjoy this archipelago.

The Cuban Ministry of Tourism opportunely envisages a closure this year with the attention, for the first time, to 4.7 million foreign visitors.

That figure, quite likely to be achieved, would be supported by a number of travelers from the five continents who arrive in Cuba in any season, either in groups, the so-called called packages or in an individual way.
