HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuba has done a great job in the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS epidemic in the last five years, Although it grows, a stabilization of the incidence of this disease is observed in both male and female.

These results are due to the work of health professionals and promoters, as well as many researchers from medical, humanistic, legal and social sciences who study the disease.

All this was reported at the Symposium on Masculinity and HIV in Santiago de Cuba; such achievements place Cuba in an excellent location with regard to the epidemic.

Cuba has been classified as a middle-income country, and because of the low concentration of the disease, it has become an ineligible nation to receive aid funds.
