GENEVA, Switzerland. – The results in the advance of the computerization process of the Cuban society will be presented in Geneva, as part of the follow-up international forum to the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS Follow up).

During the meeting ending next June 16, four Cuban projects are nominated for awards, whose delivery ceremony will be for tomorrow.

In the context of the Forum, Cuban vice-minister of Communications Wilfredo Gonzalez Vidal and the Cuban delegation are completing an intense work agenda, including bilateral meetings.

The World Summit on the Information Society agreed a number of international commitments, including eliminating the digital divide between the Northern and the Southern countries, and ensuring access to information and communication technologies in the world.
