Dismay in Russia for victims of ravenous fire.

MOSCOW, Russia. – The voracious fire occurred on Sunday afternoon in a shopping center in the Siberian city of Kemerovo, caused at least 64 deaths and dozens of wounded and missing persons.

Several world leaders have expressed their solidarity with the families of the victims and with the Russian people, such as the Government of Venezuela that sent its condolences and wishes of early recovery to the people injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega and Vice-President Rosario Murillo did the same and sent a letter to his counterpart Vladimir Putin.

The Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, also issued a communiqué expressing his desire for early recovery of the wounded, while offering his deep condolences to the relatives of the victims, the people and the Government of Russia.
