HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, expressed his condolences to the people and Government of Russia after a plane crash that caused 41 deceased.
We regret loss of human lives in a plane crash in Russia. Our condolences to the relatives of the deceased, the Russian government and people, the President wrote on Twitter.
The Russian Research Committee confirmed this Sunday that 37 people survived the fire in Superjet-100 of Aeroflot, when it landed landing on the runway of an airport in Moscow.
At least four of the evacuees are in serious condition, in an incident in which a lightning struck the plane covering the section Moscow-Murmansk.
The fire in the engines came after the lightning strike, when the plane returned and made a crash landing, during which a landing gear was damaged.
