20th International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties.

ATHENS, Greece.- The participants in the 20th International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties, held in the Greek capital, paid homage to Fidel Castro Ruz and expressed their support for the Cuban Revolution.

The meeting was attended by a delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba, headed by Juan Carlos Marsan, deputy head of the Department of International Relations.

The final document approved by the delegations of 90 parties, reaffirmed solidarity with socialist Cuba and peoples facing imperialist threats and attacks, while demanding the end of the blockade the United States maintains on the island.

The text underlined that 2019 will be the year of the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, described as one of the most important events in the strengthening of proletarian internationalism and the contribution to the communist movement.
