Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is optimistic.

Athens, Greece. – The Greek government is optimistic about the possibility of unlocking the new tranche of external financing of eight billion euros to honor its creditors, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said in Athens.

European Union´s creditors will decide next Monday in Brussels if they release the next tranche of the monetary bailout to Greece, after requiring new future restrictions on public programs and social affectations.

Faced with the new demands from the European Union´s creditors, this Wednesday there were demonstrations in several cities, and a call for a general strike on the eve of the Parliament voting on the new package of cuts.

These restrictive measures would come into force from 2019 on, and focus on more cuts in pensions and tax hikes affecting the Greek population, especially people with fewer resources.
