QUITO, Ecuador. – Representatives of the Government of Colombia and the Army of National liberation, take again this Monday in Quito the dialogues of peace with a view to reach an agreement of bilateral cease-fire.

At the beginning of the third cycle of talks, both delegations will try to move forward on the issue of cessation of hostilities, according to statements on Twitter by the negotiating chief of the government, Juan Camilo Restrepo.

In turn, the last active guerrilla group in Colombia highlighted in a text spread through the aforementioned social network the possibility of taking a historic step towards the concretion of a bilateral cease-fire, which gives the country an appeasement of the armed conflict.

The third cycle of the peace dialogues will take place until the first week of September, when Pope Francis´s arrival in Colombia is scheduled.
