Flags of Cuba and China.

BEIJING, China.- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Wang Yi, said the upcoming state visit of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez will allow to project bilateral ties into the long-term.

Upon receiving the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers of the island, Ricardo Cabrisas, the Chancellor said Chinese President Xi Jinping gives high importance to that trip, scheduled for next November.

Diaz-Canel will arrive in Beijing as part of his first tour of Asian and European countries, after taking office in April. He visited China in 2013 and 2015.

Wang also reiterated the support of his country to the Antillean State in its just struggle for defending national sovereignty, and described as indestructible the endearing friendship between the two countries. For his part, Cabrisas thanked the invariably position of the Chinese Government of China against the blockade.
