Paramaribo, Suriname.- Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Rogelio Sierra stressed today that political dialogue and cooperation between his country and Suriname benefits both nations and favors regional integration in the Caribbean.

In his Twitter account, the diplomat also celebrated the establishment of an official air connection between the two islands.

‘Cuba welcomes the establishment of direct flights between both countries with the airline Fly All Ways, which contributes to the interest of promoting better interconnectivity in the Caribbean,’ he said.

During his visit to the island, Sierra held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Suriname, Yldiz Pollack-Beighle, and other leaders.

The tour of the Cuban representative by regional countries, from April 6 to 16, will also include Barbados, Guyana and Jamaica, after passing through Trinidad and Tobago yesterday.
