Cuba and Germany Sign Memorandum of Understanding

BERLIN, Germany.- The central banks of both countries, Banco Central of Cuba and Deutsche Bundesbank, signed in Berlin a memorandum of understanding to achieve, through joint efforts, to establish mutually advantageous technical cooperation in the banking sector.

The document was signed by Irma Martinez Castrillon, Minister-President of the Central Bank of Cuba, and Claus Tigges, regional president for Berlin-Brandenburg of the German central bank, in the regional headquarters of that body.

The signing ceremony of the document was attended by Ramon Ripoll Diaz, Ambassador of Cuba to Germany, and Horacio Navas, president of the Popular Bank of Savings.

The entry into force of the document will strengthen future relations in the field of technical collaboration between the two central banks, which constitutes an instrument for the strengthening of bilateral relations between both countries.
